In Luke chapter 8, we read about Jesus and his disciples going out on the lake. While he laid down to rest, a big and dangerous storm hit. Being in “great danger,” according to Scripture, the fearful disciples woke Jesus up saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”
Does this sound at all familiar? Perhaps your church is experiencing a shift in leadership or you’re considering a new direction. Perhaps the stress is at an all time high with the continuing pandemic or you feel like you’ve lost sight of where God is calling you completely.

Are you Ready for What’s Next?
The Good News is that the same Christ who got up, rebuked the wind and the waves, and calmed the storm in this story, is with you today.
The disciples were amazed and asked each other, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.” We know who this is – our Lord and Savior, the Head of the Church, our hope and our salvation. The only one who calls us home and sustains us until then.
Wherever you are and whatever is going on in your ministry, know you aren’t alone. Ministries across the globe are experiencing great challenges and many of them are afraid of going under. As disciples experiencing many different storms, let us look to Christ too, considering how to serve Him and steward the resources God has given us today.
Prepare for What’s Ahead
A few years back, Dan published 10 Tsunamis Impacting Ministries, a book that reviews a number of “tsunamis” which have hit or will hit ministries in the USA. Churches, schools, and other non-profits continue to be in the “eye of the storm,” even more so than Dan could have predicted.
Stay tuned for a revised version of this book coming soon. And in the meantime, may God be with you in the midst of whatever storm you are in…blessing you with courage to continue in the good work you are doing.
