Cornerstone Church
Cornerstone Church in Ames, IA discerned the opportunity to serve their community through a new 2,000-seat worship center, equipped to produce and host theatrical productions. In addition, the third space is a convenient gateway to various ministry spaces and includes a baptistry that also functions as a water feature. What’s more, a blackbox theater is home to the youth who gather for worship and other activities.
Crosspoint Christian
A church plant of First Christian Church in Fort Myers, Crosspoint Christian Church began worshipping together in January of 2006 with 125 members. Intent on connecting Christ and the Cape Coral community, the church prioritized children and youth in the design of their new facility. In addition to a 500-seat sanctuary and industrial-style third space with a full service cafe, the congregation’s kids are met with a secure check-in center, multi-use gathering space, classrooms, and more.
Bonita Valley Community Church
The ministry of Bonita Valley Community Church has been enlivened by this new worship center, which complements the existing church building. This auditorium features 1,500 stadium-style seats, raised platform for worship leaders, acoustic sound walls and full LED walls, and an impressive third space which extends into a large courtyard for outdoor events. Also, the backstage area includes a large rehearsal space, green room, changing rooms, and an audio/video editing room.
Highland Park Community Church
Highland Park Community Church in Casper, WY enjoys a western approach to design in its nearly 100,000 SF new facility. The worship center, seating 1,300 and equipped for large scale events, is at the heart of the project. A glass exterior wall welcomes folks into the large fellowship hall, which can seat over 500 for weekly meetings, such as Celebrate Recovery. Upstairs, there is a dedicated youth space for over 400 students to gather, as well as a coffee shop and various classrooms and offices.
Alive Wesleyan Church
Alive Wesleyan Church in Central, SC discerned a need for a new worship center with two sanctuaries. One was contemporary with cutting-edge technology, including environmental video projection, while the other features a more traditional design with a cathedral ceiling and choir seating. The prominent windows welcome visitors into the third space, as does the water feature which also functions as an outdoor baptismal.
Believers Church
Believers Church is an incredibly successful pioneer in the sustainable ministry model. Designed to be an event center and child care facility (complete with an indoor playground), it also serves the community through worship and activities throughout the week. “Hub 757” is a 60,000 SF building with a huge third space and modern sanctuary, equipped with wood plank accent walls and stadium style seating. The youth room is uniquely arranged to create a casual, yet functional environment through the use of carpeted-tiered seating, video walls, and an open gathering space. The building is surrounded by carefully cultivated outdoor space, including an outdoor amphitheater. Believers Church also hosts Champions Club, a special needs ministry.
New Hope Community Church
New Hope Community Church in Chula Vista, CA prioritized a 23,000 SF multi-purpose facility in its first phase. This community center hosts sports leagues, cheer camps, and a variety of after school programs that serve the community’s kids. A nearly 6,000 SF multi-purpose room features a stage, state-of-the-art AVL, and seating for nearly 900 people. It also converts easily to allow for two volleyball courts or one full basketball court. This new building also includes church offices, a conference room, and ten classrooms.
Emmanuel Faith Community Church
Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido, CA invested in the community’s kids through this two-story children’s ministry center. Each floor included a large multipurpose room to facilitate worship and other activities. Interactive play is the name of the game, as the goal was to create more opportunities for children to connect with peers and mentors. The check-in center even facilitates parent interaction! The best AVL, LED lighting, and energy-saving HVAC systems were used in this facility; it’s no surprise it won the 2018 WFX Solomon Award for Youth and Children's Spaces.
Northview Church
While Northview Church has grown to include 10 campuses, three of these locations feature the same design: Fishers, West Lafayette, and Westfield. Each worship center seats about 500 people, and includes a large third space with a café, that features polished concrete floors, a gas fireplace, and an outdoor patio. In addition to children’s classrooms and a nursery, there is a youth center which includes a portable stage system with full AVL.
Worship Center
Worship Center, a faith community in Lancaster, PA embarked on a new facility that would surpass 100,000 SF. Complete with a circular lobby to allow for small groups of people to interact, it also includes classrooms, offices, and a diversity of gathering spaces including a youth cafe and family coffee shop. Perhaps most unique is the “theater in the round” style sanctuary, seating 1500 people, with the potential for 375 more to be added. You can’t miss the extensive catwalk that accommodates the theatrical lighting and A/V control.
Northland Church
The Northland project was 140,000 SF of new construction, which provided seating for 3,300 worship participants and a third space as large as a football field. This project won 3 Solomon Awards from Worship Facilities Magazine and was highlighted by Ministry Today Magazine as one of the 7 Most Innovative Churches in the USA.
Brookhaven Church
Brookhaven Church in McKinney, TX is one of our sustainable pioneers. With a 16,800 SF child care center and outdoor sports court and playground, the church interacts with the community throughout the week. In fact, the master plan even includes a retail pad for a fast-food restaurant to be added. The first phase also included a 360-seat worship center and third space featuring a café, baptistry, and a check-in center providing functionality for children’s ministry on Sundays and for the child care center weekdays.
Mount of Olives
This 12,383 SF, 3-story children’s ministry building at Mount of Olives features a fully equipped kitchen, classrooms, and performing arts area, including state-of-the-art technology. Designed to facilitate ministry with a different age group on each floor, older students are met with off-Broadway and beach themes, while the youngest children enjoy a “Toon Town,” created by Wacky World Studios. In addition, an 8,000 SF courtyard features an oversized fire pit for outdoor family fellowship and events.
St. Johns Episcopal Church
St. John Episcopal Church in Roseville, CA embarked on the first phase of their master plan in July of 2011. This 14,000 SF building includes a space for 400 people to gather to worship God. A nursery, fellowship areas, kitchen, and temporary offices were also included in this phase. This facility meets the esthetic of the local neighborhood, while incorporating aspects of traditional church architecture — like beautifully restored stained glass windows. In addition, a central bell tower stands tall like a beacon to the surrounding community.
Creekside Christian Church
Creekside Christian Church in Saint John, FL was set on a multi-functional facility While the worship center seats 750 people and includes cutting-edge AVL, it will be able to transform into a community outreach center, complete with a food court and bookstore, in the next phase. The new third space connects the worship center with the children's ministry area, which features wide hallways and a large check-in area.
The Lutheran Church of St. Andrew
Lutheran Church of St. Andrew in Silver Springs, MD envisioned a 750-seat sanctuary with a semi-circle layout that would bring the congregation closer to God and one another. The third space is another great gathering space, complementing the nearby nursery and offices. This project earned The LCEF Art & Architecture Award for Best Liturgical Architecture and a WFX Solomon Award for Best Church Architect.
Sunnybrook Community Church
Sunnybrook Community Church, hailed as one of the top 100 fastest growing churches in the country by Outreach Magazine, needed an expanded facility as soon as possible. The new 1,300 seat sanctuary features circular sealed seating, acoustic walls, a raised half-moon performance platform, and baptistry. The backstage area includes a green room, rehearsal space, plentiful storage, changing rooms, and spaces dedicated to AVL and mechanical support. Offices and classrooms were remodeled, as was the third space which features vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, and includes a café, new bathrooms, and a covered drop-off entrance.
Grace Church
Grace Church in Tracy, CA calls a new two-story building home, enjoying its Spanish Mission style exterior. Classrooms, offices, a nursery, and a commercial kitchen are just the beginning. The expansive third space includes a grand staircase and the second floor looks out over the welcome center. Not only does an outdoor patio lead to a play area for children, a multipurpose room doubles as a sport court. Last but not least, the sanctuary is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including LED walls and line array speakers.
NorthCreek Church
The 84,449 SF facility for NorthCreek Church & School in Walnut Creek, CA was a feat. Existing facilities had to be demolished and various site constraints posed challenges. But, you’d never know it when you see its commanding entryways and the way it compliments the surrounding buildings. The vaulted entry opens into a third space, branching into administrative offices, classrooms, and a worship center. Features include a sloped floor, auditorium seating for 1,300, acoustic ceiling clouds, and the latest AVL.
The Bridge Community Church
The Bridge Community Church in Warrenton, VA was thrilled to break ground on their new 20,800 SF building after having rented space for the previous 12 years. The 400-seat, theater-style sanctuary features stadium seating, two backstage rooms for choir and rehearsal space, and a sound booth. What’s more, with the large third space, gathering hall, rear patio, and youth gathering space, this facility was designed to accommodate multiple events at the same time. It’s also important to highlight the two nurseries, education resource room, classrooms, and commercial kitchen, all of which facilitate vibrant ministry for families.
Fair Park Baptist Church
Fair Park Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA challenged Dan to build a modern 1,000-seat worship center that wouldn’t seem out of place when connected to the existing, traditional building. A new 75 foot prayer tower with ten flights of stairs, three landings, and a reflection deck brings it all together. The base provides a third space, including a café, which provides access the first story offices, conference room, music room, and backstage rehearsal area, and a grand staircase which leads to the worship center, featuring stadium-style seating.
West Orlando Baptist Church
West Orlando Baptist Church in Winter Gardens, FL added a 28,000 SF worship center with stadium seating, as well as a third space, classrooms, offices, a choir rehearsal room, and a nursery to their existing building. This project included the addition of 200 parking spaces and entrance canopies.
New Life Church & Academy
New Life Church & Academy calls Woodbury, MN home, especially due to its 22,987 SF addition and 10,878 SF remodel. This project includes an exceptional foyer, coffee shop, cafeteria, administrative offices, and specialty classrooms, including a music room and computer lab. Worship services for both children and adults will utilize state-of-the-art AVL. The modern campus sports floor to ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings, exposed ducts, and hanging lights.
